Rise. Rebuild. Reclaim.

the Tallawah Initiative

We are a climate resilience fund built by Jamaicans, committed to bringing people and resources together to build a more liberatory, self-determined, and community-rooted future.

We believe in securing our collective strength as Jamaicans through reclaiming our relationship to land and our rights to it, building safe and sustainable community infrastructure, advancing food sovereignty and regenerative farming, and investing in education.

Values that guide us

Helping communities rise in strength and power through land retention and ownership.

Securing Jamaica’s collective strength through bold climate preparedness.

Reclaiming African and Indigenous knowledge so we can live in harmony with the land.

Support with the click of a button

Jamaica is a small island nation bearing the heaviest burden of climate-related environmental disasters, from devastating storms to droughts. Often, communities and networks doing essential work do not have sufficient resources. Donations to the Tallawah Initiative support these grassroots organizations and community-led recovery, centering Jamaican leadership, participatory governance, and long-term resilience.
